But are we are doing enough, are we being imaginative enough, to optimise the potential and power of internet, mobile, games technologies to promote social progress, improve the quality of our public life, enhance our collective well- being and happiness and to tackle the most intractable problems facing the world at the start of the outset of the 21^st century?  

The first 4 Good Festival will bring together over 600 practical visionaries from the worlds of technology, the internet, mobile and games industries, public policy and politics, NGOs, charities, the cultural and creative sectors and social enterprises with innovators and entrepreneurs and philanthropists to explore, learn, celebrate and innovate around how we can practically build a better more equitable world. 

The Festival will convene the people who are devoted to creating a better world with the people building the tools to change the world.  

The festival will feature a mix of great speakers and panels, facilitated conversations, pitches, brainstorming sessions, pecha kucha style presentations, short films, musical performances, a party and a few surprises! We do not want 4 Good to be about wise words and rousing speeches – although there will be plenty of them - like so many other events. A defining hallmark of the Festival will be the framing of problems and animation of ideas. This process will begin online in advance of the Festival and continue during and after the event.

The Festival will feature some major new announcements about funding annd awards to promote social innovations.
